Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics in collaboration with Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia is organising a multidisciplinary workshop on ‘Inclusive cities’on December 19-20, 2016.
Prof. A. K. Maitra, Former Director, School of Planning and Architecture will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural session onDecember 19, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Mir Taqi Mir Building, JMI.
Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia will preside over the function.
The workshop will provide an open-ended platform to bring in ideas and innovations from urban thought leaders and researchers. It intends to bring together international and national experts to share their work in making cities more inclusive.
Participants from India, US, Netherlands, London, UK, KSA, SA, Egypt & Austria will “walk the talk” for inclusive cities and share their country experiences.
At a time, when cities across the world are suffering from economic downturns, climate change, population migration from war zones, water and energy crisis, and other issues of access and security for their large populations, the workshop hopes to deliberate and find solutions to some of these problems.
