Imam Azam, son of a Madarsa teacher who did his Bachelor in Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) from Jamia Millia Islamia’s prestigious Faculty of Dentistry has cracked the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Entrance Examination for the Masters in Dental Surgery (MDS).

Azam, who is settled in Jaitpur, Okhla in Delhi after retirement of his father, has also successfully cleared NEET PG Examination for admission in MDS at Nair Dental College, Mumbai.

Congratulating Azam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof Talat Ahmad hoped that his success and hard work would be an inspiration for students who belong to such a humble background.

Prof Ahmad also added that Azam’s success in top-notch medical institutions of the country proves the competitive edge and rigour of the university’s Faculty of Dentistry.

Expressing his happiness over the performance of Azam, the Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, JMI, Prof Saranjit Singh Bhasin said that the faculty members are extremely proud of his achievement.
