ALIGARH : The Centre of Advanced Study, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University, under its outreach programme, is organizing a one-day Workshop of Students on “Recent Trends in History Writing” on February 10, 2018. An interactive programme will also be held in which students of Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi and CAS in History, AMU will participate.

Professor Syed Ali Nadeem Rezavi, Chairman and Coordinator, CAS Department of History, informed that the inaugural function of the workshop will be held on February 10 at 9 am at the Department of History.

Prof Rezavi said that in the workshop there will be lectures by Professor Irfan Habib and Professor Shireen Moosvi who will speak on “Recent Trends in History Writing” and “Akbar and Sulh Kul”, respectively. He said that lectures will be held in the Audio-Visual Room of the department.

A visit to the University Museum, Sir Syed House, Jama Masjid, Sir Syed’s grave, Victoria Gate, Strachey Hall, etc., will also take place.
